- Checked out trunk version of libffi
svn checkout svn://gcc.gnu.org/svn/gcc/trunk/libffi ~/build/libffi.svn

- Downloaded the following from the trunk, placed in libffi.svn:
mkinstalldirs
depcomp
compile
missing
install-sh
config.sub
config.guess
ltmain.sh

- Edit configure to comment out use of config-ml.in (default-1 commands section)

./configure --disable-multilib             # had no effect

- Edit Makefile.in and include/Makefile.in for proper ./mkinstalldirs path
- Edit include/Makefile.in for proper header path
